Fruit Detox and Supplementing

Hey Fruity Friends,

Today I’m getting up close and personal with the idea of supplementing when necessary. I’m training with Dr. Morse as an ISOD Detox Specialist, so he believes that if you were to fully detox, only THEN can you discern if you have a deficiency in any one vitamin or mineral which could require supplementing. I, however, do feel differently, only because sometimes the symptoms can be severe without supplementation.

I’m not saying take every supplement under the sun if you are trying to detox, but to be discerning about what you may actually need. For instance, after being a long time vegetarian, I was running low on iron. But after doing a moderate fruit detox for over two years, I continued to stay low in iron, and even my ferritin and hemoglobin were very low. What I didn’t realize was that I was taking a turmeric supplement, which was in fact, binding to iron and removing it from my blood. At that point, I realized I just needed the iron for a temporary period of time, and would taper off and keep rechecking my levels.

Again, recently, for the same reason with the iron and not eating meat often, I also was zinc deficient, as my acne (and everyone said my acne was just because I was soooooo toxic) was getting worse, especially relating to my cycle. I had a few other symptoms of the zinc deficiency. So at some point, I realized that I truly needed the zinc, and viola, the acne cleared right up.

Gauging where you are and why is important in a fruit detox and deciding if and when to supplement. I know there are plenty of people who don’t ever need to supplement, and I am happy for them. But how can anyone deny their own body a chance at healing because of a rigid belief? I just believe it’s better to keep detoxing with food, and occasionally supplement as needed. If we are to learn what our body needs, we have to try it out. Until we try, we may never know.

I know we can talk about blood tests, hair tests, dna tests, but in the end, supplementing is cheaper than most tests are! And relatively safe to supplement in RDA amounts than go without if it’s actually needed. What do you think? Have you detoxed for a long time and still thought you needed a vitamin or mineral afterwards?

I completely understand and believe Dr. Morse, yet I also know if you have heart palpitations from low iron and you go to the doctor, they just want to give you a blood transfusion! So, that is why I say, why not supplement instead? It’s faster and easier than a procedure or an RX, and usually safer.

Thanks for reading, have a fruity day!

Fruit Fasting Without Starving

Yes. Yes. Yes. Eating fruit is a relatively easy concept as far as dieting goes. Yet, as easy as it is to eat mostly fruit, I always hear people saying, “What’s going to happen to me when I’m starving”…

Well, I’m going to be honest here, and let you know that most likely, no one is going to starve. If you’re starving, it’s for some other reason.

We’ve all actually lived so well, with such rich food, that is why when you eat less fat, protein, and sugar (which is what is fermenting in your gut and feeding the bacteria that make you crave), you will really feel better, lose weight, and possibly get healthier.

You may get hungry, but if you keep up the calories from fruit, you’ll be HYDRATED and have good electrolyte levels. This is necessary for your kidneys to function well and help with elimination. We want elimination to be faster. So the fruit also hits the intestine and colon, and moves through with ease and speed. Usually.

As you go, you will need to determine if you’d need to add anything else? Maybe more variety of fruits? Maybe some veggies? I love to add the veggies as juices like beet, carrot, celery. Or maybe a cooked yam at night with a soup or salad.

Just go super easy on the fat and protein if you are detoxing. (Remember, Dr. Morse says protein is a builder, and you don’t want to build and detox at the same time). Fat is hard on the liver/gallbladder. Protein is hard on the kidneys and digestive system. But sugars really are what creates those cravings for more food, and of course, more sugar.

Fruit fills that gap rather easily.

I’d like to see everybody eating those Ten Fruits a Day! ASAP.

Ten Fruits a Day Challenge

Being Fruitarian, it’s not really a challenge to eat some fruits every day. But what about when you’re first starting out?

Are you trying to lose weight, manage unbearable symptoms like pain, or cut down on your medications? You might just want to eat more fruits.

This whole website is about detoxing using fruit and herbs to allow the body to clean itself, so get ready to get FRUITY!

Examples of eating ten fruits a day:

  • Bowl of watermelon (2 servings), 2 glasses of orange juice, 3 bananas, 2 apples, blueberries.
  • 3 bananas, 2 apples, 3 oranges, and 1 pound of grapes (2 servings).
  • 2 cups of coconut water, 3 bananas, 2 oranges, 2 apples, raisins.

You can obviously make smoothies, but it’s best to keep fruits alone for fruit only meals. It’s better for digestion, so resist the urge to throw protein/fats/veggies into the smoothie while you’re starting out. You can still eat other foods, but with this kind of detox system, you
will just eat less of them naturally.

You will likely feel better, maybe even get some spiritual moments and intuition and synchronicities happening as you clean yourself from the inside out.

Life becomes much more joyous, and you will have more free time because you aren’t rushing to prepare complex meals. Relaxation can actually take place! Children LOVE fruit in most cases, and adults who usually thought of fruit as dessert will rejoice that they are allowed to EAT it!

Who is taking the Ten Fruits a Day Challenge? I know I am! I’m here for your support in Detox Coaching! Much love from Jen C.

You are ready, maybe on the fence, or a complete skeptic…

No matter where you are on the scale of health readiness, my job is to help you to align with your best self, your highest self, and also your health potential.  You have a creative side that wants to create.

And a healthy body that wants to begin to shine through, from the inside out.  An aligned individual is doing their own healing.  No one ever heals anyone else.  Coaches and energy workers just help their clients relax so they can tend to their own health.

Health can only come through a more positive mental state.  Health is mind-body-spirit.  It is there for you.  It is one of the many sources of abundance available to you.  And all.  Health is our divine birth right.

Yet, some push it away!  Don’t be that one!

Be the one that is able, among the naysayers of the world, to call to Health and welcome it.  Life is way more fun when we are welcoming, rather than…pushing against…wouldn’t you agree?

Be the one that calls the shots, be the one that asks the questions and continues the growth.  Be the one to fulfill yourself, and your own daily needs and self care.  Be the one who can focus so well and so much that Health just makes it’s way TO you.  In whatever form you are able to allow it in.

You see, The Law of Attraction can only bring you what you are thinking about.  If it is sickness, disease, disbelief (about diagnosis), complaining about life, or just negativity, I guarantee that is what your life will continue to look like.  But, if you can focus instead on creating health, even a little at a time, you can change your life around!

What if you were to begin thinking of new ideas, possibilities, movement, and ease of your body?  Would that maybe change the results you are getting?

Maybe then you would allow the right ideas to flow to you.  Maybe when your own mood is really good, you will get the idea to eat something specific, and when you do, you will feel even better.  And if you do this many times, you will be healing yourself.

Would you like to be empowered enough to change your own fate?  How powerful are you?  Are you powerful enough to tell the Universe that you are ready?

I’m here to help you as your coach, to encourage you and mentor you, and as a detox specialist.  The mental edge is the cutting edge that changes everything!
